Many of the traditional snack foods are gluten free, or at least some brands are. It just takes some time to get to know which brands.

One of our favorites here (after fruits) are Lays Staxx potato chips--all flavors. We had really been missing a chip that we "knew" was safe from cross contamination. These are it!

For sweet treats, it is Pamela's for cookies; local GF bakery for cakes, or homemade Hershey's cake recipe from the back of the tin with any GF flour; chocolate candy from hershey's or m&m mars on the GF lists; ice cream--most are GF :)

I have Mike's cookbook. Let me know if you want to peek at it in case you are looking for a GF baking cookbook.

I still eat ice cream. Lots of it. So yummy. Pamela's ginger cookies are of the yum. Mary's Gone Crackers makes tastey and unique GF crackers. Top with cheese and you are good to go. Chocolate mousse. Mmmmm...

If you are a coffee drinker, Starbucks is gluten free except for the Java Chips used in the Frappucinnos. Therefore, I avoid those altogether so as not to get glutened by a blender that was not properly cleaned.

Fruit dip: softened cream cheese blended with Mrs. Richardson's caramel sauce. Oh man, now I'm craving it!

Perhaps needless to say... when it comes to snacks, I (or my wife) bake most everything from scratch - especially cookies, biscotti, cake, and the like. I do like the Jigsaw Health bars (chocolate ones in particular) for purchased snacks too.

Good luck with the whole gluten-free thing!
